Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for experienced Special Education Teachers to support two unique classroom settings for the 2025-2026 school year in Morehead City, NC. This is a contract position serving elementary and secondary school populations within a full-time, onsite role from August 18th through May 22nd, with work hours of 8 : 00 AM to 2 : 45 PM.

Responsibilities include :

• Managing a self-contained adaptive classroom for grades K-3, focusing on students with Autism and nonverbal munication needs. The caseload consists of 7 students, supported by at least 2 teaching assistants.
• Providing instruction and support in an inclusion classroom serving grades 9-12, with a caseload ranging from approximately 15 to 37 students with varying adaptive needs.
• Collaborating with school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to intensive student needs.
• Maintaining a structured, supportive classroom environment that fosters academic and social growth.
