Responsibilities

Zero and calibrate CNC-based injection machines prior to each production run

Change and maintain specialized injection needles for precision hair insertion.

Execute robotic hair injection cycles according to production specifications.

Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues on the floor in real-time.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to test new base materials, needle configurations, and density parameters.

Maintain machine health and logs (settings, outputs, error codes, adjustments).

Assist with design and mechanical improvements that increase throughput or quality.

Requirements

2+ years of hands-on CNC operation, mechanical machining, robotics, or manufacturing experience.

Comfort with G-code, CNC software, and working with delicate or unconventional materials (e.g., polymers, fibers).

Strong mechanical intuition—you know how things work, break, and get fixed.

Ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and process-level issues quickly.

Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced, hardware startup environment.

Passion for craftsmanship, detail, and product innovation.

Must be available to work on-site in Brooklyn, NY.

Nice-to-Haves :

Experience in automation, robotics, or mechatronics.

Previous experience at a beauty hardware, DTC, or early-stage startup.

Knowledge of pneumatics, electrical systems, or motion control.

Familiarity with polymer injection, 3D printing, or material experimentation.

Temp to perm based on performance.
