Position Summary :
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Engineering Manager to lead our control systems engineering and support teams. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of project execution, providing hands-on functional leadership across all project phases, and ensuring the successful delivery of control system projects. As a key member of the management team, you will monitor the performance of project teams and serve as the principal technical resource, advising customers and support personnel on technical and operational issues.
Essential Functions :
- Lead and mentor an engineering group, defining project scope and developing comprehensive material and labor specifications within established schedules and budgets.
- Apply advanced technical knowledge to effectively solve complex problems and challenges faced by our customers.
- Oversee the development and evaluation of control system architectures and components to ensure design criteria are met and exceeded.
- Supervise the preparation of accurate and detailed system specifications and drawings as required for project execution.
- Represent Petrotech as a primary technical liaison during discussions with customers and vendors.
- Oversee and, at times, provide on-site customer training to ensure successful system implementation and operation.
- Monitor project execution rigorously to ensure compliance with internal quality assurance standards and industry safety regulations.
- Assign projects to team members and actively manage their execution to deliver on schedule and within budget, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Continuously identify and implement improvements to process efficiency within the engineering team.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.Five (5+) years of progressive experience in the design, commissioning, and troubleshooting of industrial control systems.Strong preference for candidates with experience related to rotating machinery and within the Energy Industry.Three (3+) years of direct, hands-on supervisory or leadership experience managing engineering and technical staff.Supervisory Responsibility :
This position will supervise engineering and technical staff, with up to 10 direct reports.Working Conditions :
Primarily a typical office environment with occasional visits to industrial work sites.Schedule :
