Job description:

We are leading the first phase of a SOW for our client in Jacksonville, FL. We need a Big Data Architect with Hadoop experience to help build a new large data solution. Experience with healthcare insurance projects is a big plus.

This role will communicate across company executive leaders, department heads, other stakeholders, and IT. As such, excellent communication and the ability to work with IT and non-IT audiences is vital.

Requirements:

• 11+ years of experience as a Solution/Data Architect designing and developing analytical and operational solutions including Data Lakes, Operational Data Stores (ODS), Data Warehouses, and Data Marts and RDBMS
• 2+ years of experience implementing enterprise solutions on Hadoop Technology. *Must have experience with one of the following: Cloudera or Hortonworks or EMR*
• Hands-on experience with Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Modernization/Transformational/Migration Projects
• Experience with implementing Data Lakes and analytical solution in the Cloud (AWS, S3, and Azure) and cloud-based analytic platforms such as Redshift and/or Snowflake and/or SQL
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop-based and Cloud-based technologies for data ingestion, data storage, data integration and information delivery
• Proven track record of defining, justifying, communicating, educating, developing, and implementing an enterprise-wide data strategy and roadmap
• Ability to develop and maintain enterprise data architecture, logical data models, and physical designs for data solutions on both Hadoop and RDBMS, on premise and in the cloud
• Experience facilitating group sessions for requirements gathering and data analysis and developing logical and physical data models
• Excellent communication skill – Presentation, Written, Verbal
• Knowledge of logistics, supply chain, and hospitality industries a plus
