The RN - Hospice Nurse Clinician provides holistic care to terminally ill patients and their families by assessing needs and coordinating a comprehensive Plan of Care within an interdisciplinary hospice team. This role emphasizes promoting patient and family choice, ensuring continuity of care, and improving quality of life for dying patients. Candidates require a nursing degree and relevant licensure, with preferred experience in hospice, pediatric nursing, or related healthcare fields.

Description

The RN Nurse Clinician provides holistic care to terminally ill pediatric or adult patients and their families by assessing the needs of the patient, and then planning, coordinating, implementing, and as needed, revising the Plan of Care. The RN Nurse Clinician works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary hospice group (IDG)with the goals of anticipating changes in the patient's condition, avoiding crises, promoting patient and family choice, ensuring continuity of care, and enhancing the quality of life of dying patients. Shift, schedule and caseload of shifts and caseload may vary according to position assignment.

Required Qualifications :

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent educ / experience
• Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire
• Provider BLS - American Heart Association required within 30 days of hire
