A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HEAT ELIGIBILITY WORKER
This position is responsible for determining client eligibility for HEAT utility and water assistance in accordance with Federal, State and Utah Community Action policies and procedures. This position provides quality services to customers, referring to outside agencies as needed and offering education in budgeting and energy-saving measures. Must monitor caseload regularly to ensure services are provided in a timely manner.
May be assigned to assist in other program areas, such as editing and mentoring. As a representative of the agency, HEAT staff are responsible for providing exceptional customer service and advocating for clients using a trauma-informed, client-centered approach.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This job requires mobility and physical dexterity, and the ability to read, focus, organize, recall, and retain information. Physical demands include sitting and / or standing for extended periods, bending, lifting approximately 25 pounds, and regular use of the telephone, copier, fax, and computer.
