About The Position

New Jersey’s largest health system and a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award recipient, is seeking a visionary Chief of Gastroenterology to lead a dynamic academic division. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to shape GI care, research, and education in alignment with AtlantiCare’s Vision 2030 transformation strategy .

Role Overview :

Lead the design and growth of a comprehensive GI program

Oversee clinical care, education, and research initiatives

Expand advanced GI services including complex endoscopy

Recruit, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary GI team

Collaborate with top partners including Drexel University & Cleveland Clinic

Provide direct care and consultation for complex GI cases

Support innovation in workforce development and community access

Schedule & Call :

Full-time, days (8 AM – 5 PM)

Manageable 1 : 4 call schedule , supported by APPs & hospitalists

Job Requirements

Board Certified in Gastroenterology – Required

Active NJ medical license (or willingness to obtain)

BLS, ACLS, DEA, CSR / CDS required prior to start

Minimum : 3+ years post-fellowship, leadership / program development experience preferred

Not open to new grads, APPs, locums, 1099, or visa sponsorship
