You'll thrive in this role if you have :
- EEC Infant Toddler Certification, CDA, or equivalent degree and experience (required)
- Daycare experience in a center-based or private school setting
- A nurturing demeanor and a love for infants and their development
Some requirements of the role include :
Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift within the operating hours of the school, including opening and closing shiftsAbility to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the childrenAbility to lift up to 50lbsAbility to stand up to 90% of the workdayAttentiveness, strong time management, and a team-focused mindsetAs an Infant Teacher, you will be responsible for :
Collaborating with your co-teacher to equally prepare curriculum, lesson plans, materials, and monthly newsletters.Keeping parents informed by posting parent information on the Class Dojo app and classroom boards.Providing a safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing classrooms.Encouraging children's participation by providing age-appropriate interactive activities.Maintaining cleanliness of the classroom : routine opening / closing of the classroom (including, but not limited to wiping down the toys, cleaning tables, vacuuming the room, sanitizing the room (after all children have left), bathrooms, emptying trash, and overall preparation of the classroom for the next morning.Engaging with students in free play, supervising / zone during outdoor time, helping with bathroom needs and diapering, bottle and meal assistance (preparing bottles, heating up lunches, cutting up food, helping open containers, supervision), naptime assistance, etc.Adhering to infants' individual feeding and sleeping schedules.Tracking children's progress and completing assessments.Maintaining your EEC required professional development hours and PQ registry.Attending monthly staff meetings.Creating a fun and safe learning environment for your students.Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students and parents.What Magical Beginnings offers you :
