Mechanical Designer

Nesco Resource has a client seeking an experienced Designer to create fabrication drawings for pressure vessels, structural steel, and piping using Inventor and AutoCAD. This role includes checking drawings for accuracy, mentoring drafters, and supporting projects from design to fabrication.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop 3D models & 2D fabrication drawings with weld symbols.
• Ensure compliance with ASME Y14.7, Section VIII DIV.1, AISC, SID, and OSHA.
• Review and check designs for accuracy and constructability.
• Support fabrication with detailed drawings and BOMs.
• Manage multiple projects and participate in design reviews.

Qualifications :

Proficient in Inventor, AutoCAD, Autodesk iLogic, and Vault.

Experience with ASME-coded vessels, piping, and structural designs.

Strong knowledge of welding symbols & ASME calculations (Compress software).

Ability to interpret customer specifications and communicate effectively.
