Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : 2 years of experience working in Cardiovascular ICU required. License : State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license Certifications : - BLS - ACLS - NIHSS - CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours - Telemetry Must-Have : - Strong experience in telemetry, stepdown / surgical, thoracic, and vascular stepdown required. - LVAD competency. Description : The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs. Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. Initiates assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician medical diagnosis, and functional health framework. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages care of patients. Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Float requirement may be necessary to other intensive care units for various devices and post-cardiac surgery patients.
