About the Role :
This is an agency position. The Caswood Group has partnered with a school district on the westside of Monroe County to support their students.
The Speech-Language Pathologist in Schools plays a critical role in supporting the communication development and academic success of students with speech, language, and communication disorders. This position involves assessing, diagnosing, and providing individualized therapy to students to improve their speech and language skills, enabling them to participate fully in the educational environment. The role requires collaboration with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop and implement effective intervention plans tailored to each student's unique needs. Additionally, the Speech-Language Pathologist monitors student progress and adjusts therapy approaches accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes. Ultimately, this position contributes to fostering inclusive learning environments where all students can achieve their full potential in communication and learning.
Minimum Qualifications :
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Valid NYS licensure or certification to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or equivalent.
Experience working with school-aged children in educational or clinical settings.
Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and evidence-based intervention techniques.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working within public school systems or educational environments.
Familiarity with Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes and special education laws.
Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse student populations.
Responsibilities :
Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify students' communication needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and educational goals.
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and integrate communication goals into classroom activities.
Maintain detailed documentation of student assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports in compliance with school and legal requirements.
Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional expertise to goal setting and service planning.
Stay current with best practices and emerging research in speech-language pathology to enhance service delivery.

Pay : $38.00 - $45.00 per hour
