Statewide Network : MHCCN is the dominant cancer care provider in Maine, offering comprehensive services across 11 hospital partners, serving over 8,100 cancer patients annually. Accredited Excellence : MHCCN's cancer care program is ASCO QOPI, COC, NAPBC, and NAPRC accredited. Comprehensive Care Model : Work within an integrated system that includes surgical oncology, radiation oncology, palliative care, and patient support services. Research & Education : Access to cutting-edge research through the NCI's Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP), with opportunities to participate as a PI or sub-PI in clinical trials. Faculty Opportunity : This role includes a faculty position with Tufts University School of Medicine and participation in MaineHealth's Hematology-Oncology Fellowship Program. Advanced Technology : Utilize state-of-the-art analytics, including ASCO CancerLinQ , and work within the EPIC EMR system with BEACON for oncology care. MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Successful completion of residency / fellowship in oncology or hematology-oncology. Board-certified or board-eligible in oncology or hematology-oncology. About the Position
The MaineHealth Cancer Care Network (MHCCN) invites hematologist-oncologists to join our dynamic team at MaineHealth Cancer Care and IV Therapy - Sanford, Maine. This is a fantastic opportunity to practice comprehensive oncology and hematology care in a rapidly expanding, supportive environment. Physicians with disease specific subspecialty interests are encouraged to apply.

- Rapidly growing Hematology-Oncology practice of three experienced hematologist-oncologists supported by two APRNs. Growing sub specialization within the group.
- Work alongside dedicated pharmacists, nurse navigators, social workers, palliative care providers, and allied staff within a well-equipped on-site infusion center. Close collaboration with a network of shared services within Maine Health Cancer Care.
- On-site radiation oncology department and modern linear accelerator.
- Tertiary Support : Access to advanced tertiary care hematology services at Maine Health Cancer Care (MHCC) and Maine Medical Center (MMC) in Portland, the state's leading tertiary care hospital.
- Full-time position (4 days of outpatient care and 1 day of administrative time). Competitive Call Schedule : Inpatient care is provided predominantly by hospitalists at the MMC, Biddeford, ME. Call rotations shared with MHCCN partners at South Portland are approximately one week out of every 7-8.
- A state of the art, comprehensive cancer center under planning at Wells, ME will replace the current facilities at Sanford over the next years. Once open, this custom-built facility incorporating radiation oncology, radiology, laboratory and a full complement of support services is expected to become the preferred destination for oncology services in Southern Maine.
