Operations Management
This role is responsible for executing the operational objectives and working with the Director of Business Optimization to ensure the successful financial performance and productivity of multiple Operating Units. Ensures that Operating Units meet or exceed annual objectives and successfully implement organizational initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include :
- Working collaboratively with Collection Operation Directors, HR, Safety, and Collections Leaders by contributing strategic vision and integrating a broad range of operation solutions services.
- Developing and implementing a market area operating plan, consistent with the accomplishment of long-range established objectives which will enhance effectiveness and delineate responsibilities and authority.
- Reviewing and evaluating market area performance on a continuing basis and establishing proper measures of performance.
- Counseling managers as to execution of programs, and when necessary providing direction for modification in work plans or implementation of contingency plans in accordance with prevailing business conditions.
- Developing the operating unit budget in a timely manner, forecasting financial and human resource needs for future time periods.
- Assisting managers in budget optimization; providing budget compliance support.
- Overseeing personnel needs of the department including selecting, coaching, and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Providing input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
- Organizing and scheduling all necessary resources required to accomplish activities.
- Attending regularly scheduled Profit and Loss (P&L) reviews, and executing prescribed programs on routing equipment utilization, equipment maintenance, and labor and material costs.
- Implementing and maintaining programs to improve the safety, productivity, and profitability of the Market Area; ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) / Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and other federal and state regulations.
Qualifications include :
Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree.High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience.10+ years of prior work experience (in addition to education requirement) in Operations Management including at least three years managing a team of two or more individuals.Physical Requirements include :
Frequently : Repetitive Motions, Eye / Hand / Foot Coordination.Constantly : Sitting, Talking, Hearing.This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc.
