Job Summary :
The University of Kentucky College of Medicine is offering an outstanding opportunity to join a well-established, supportive group of five board-certified / eligible colorectal surgeons. This is an academic position with our surgeons serving as the primary teaching faculty for the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. The clinical practice is through UK Healthcare, the Lexington VA Healthcare System, and the Markey Cancer Center – an NCI Comprehensive Cancer center. We are an NAPRC accredited program. We function as the tertiary referral center for eastern Kentucky – a region that experiences significant disparities in and barriers to care. Our robust practice treats a wide range of diseases colorectal disease including the complex, multidisciplinary care for colorectal cancer and IBD patients.
Our division supports an ACGME-accredited colon and rectal surgery fellowship and the UK general surgery residency program. The new recruit will not only have the opportunity to join an extremely productive clinical practice but also a trajectory for academic growth through mentorship.
