Client is a midsized distributor seeking a Financial Analyst who will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost tracking, and reconciliation of freight expenses, while working closely with operational teams to improve efficiency and performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Oversee month-end close reporting and accruals tied to freight expenses
- Reconcile freight accounts and monitor carrier aging statements
- Communicate directly with carriers to resolve disputes, claims, and open balances
- Perform audits on freight invoices and act as the main point of contact for external freight auditors
- Lead and support initiatives aimed at improving freight-related systems and processes
- Coordinate with international teams on freight-related activities
- Monitor and analyze small parcel shipping costs (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL)
- Manage annual contract reviews with freight carriers, including LTL agreements and FAK rate assessments

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or FinanceExperience using SQL and Power BI for data analysis and reportingBackground working with operational teams in a financial support capacity3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or logistics-related financeCurrent or prior experience with freight expenses is required
