Marketing Vendor Relationship Manager

The role of the Marketing Vendor Relationship Manager plays a critical role in managing relationships with third party vendors on behalf of the Global Marketing Organization. The goal of this role is to maximize the ROI of vendor relationships in close partnership with Procurement, Finance, and Marketing to ensure that, upon contract execution, suppliers are meeting the needs of NetApp, its employees, and its customers and partners.

Job Requirements

Marketing Operations

  • Collaboration with Finance and Budget Managers to manage vendor budgets and expenses.
  • Monitor costs related to vendor services and negotiate cost-saving opportunities where possible.
  • Prepare and present budget forecasts, spending reports, and cost analyses related to vendor management.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Global Procurement, Finance and Legal to align vendor management strategies with overall business objectives.

RFP Support

  • Lead RFP / RFI’s with Procurement to speak on behalf of the business needs and requirements.
  • Identify potential vendors and suppliers based on organization needs, quality standards, pricing and delivery requirements.
  • Conduct vendor assessments and evaluations to determine suitability and reliability.
  • Ongoing Vendor Management and ROI Capture

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor communications, issue resolution and conflict management post business award
  • Monitor vendor performance against established metrics and KPIs
  • Conduct regular vendor meetings and performance reviews to assess service levels and address any concerns
  • Manage contract negotiations, renewals and amendments with vendors in partnership with Procurement
  • Monitor contract expiration dates and initiate contract renewals or terminations as necessary
  • Education, Experience and Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in vendor management or procurement.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, relationship-building and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to support strategic objectives.
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations and vendor risk management practices.
  • Proficiency in vendor management software and ERP systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with keen attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Executive presence and experience in executive level interactions and presentations.
