About The Position

Job Title : Physical Therapist

Hours per Shift : Typically 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM with a 30-minute lunch

Experience : Minimum of two years of physical therapy experience preferred

License : Montana Licensure (Physical Therapist)

Certifications : American Heart Association BLS required within one month of hire

Must-Have :

• Bachelor's Degree
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program

Description :

This position exists to provide excellent physical therapy services.

The purpose of this position is to evaluate patients, establish, and implement a plan of care based on evaluation findings.

The role also includes providing health and wellness education.

Employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per applicable requirements and policies.

The physical therapist will evaluate the physical and functional status of patients and establish and implement an appropriate plan of care.

Documentation of initial evaluations, re-evaluations, progress notes, daily treatment, education, and discharge summaries is required.

Educating patients, families, and caregivers in strategies to manage pain and improve safety and function is essential.

The physical therapist must identify patient safety issues and follow through with processes to ensure safety for all involved.

Sound judgment, patience, and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times are necessary skills.

The ability to exercise tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintain confidentiality is essential.

The role requires successful performance of essential job functions in a busy and stressful environment.

The individual must learn current and new computer applications and office equipment as utilized.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required.

The ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines is necessary.

Physical Requirements :

Lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required.

Maintaining a sitting posture for extended periods is necessary.

Maintaining a standing posture for extended periods is also expected.

Frequent walking and moving around within the work area are required.

Climbing, twisting, bending, and stooping may be occasionally necessary.

Reaching above shoulder level, pushing, and pulling repeatedly may be necessary.

Fine-finger movements for tasks such as typing and handling materials are continuously required.

Close visual acuity for preparing, analyzing data, and reading materials is essential.

Cognitive skills to learn new tasks, remember processes, and make timely decisions in the workflow are continuously required.

Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, chemicals, and infectious diseases may occur.

Dealing with emotionally challenging situations, such as distressed patients or difficult family interactions, is a part of the job.
