MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Biddeford / Sanford,Maine, is seeking a part-time (0.50 FTE) Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team. Preferred candidates will be Board Eligible or Board Certified. The selected candidate will join a thriving team of 40+ emergency providers committed to taking great care of patients and supporting each other.

Maine Medical Center Biddeford is a highly functioning community emergency department supporting >

100 inpatient beds, an intensive care unit, family birthing center, and surgical short stay unit. A newly developed 8 bed clinical decision unit (CDU) is operated by the emergency department, staffed by ED-based APP's. The ED in Biddeford sees approximately 40,000 patient visits per year. Our Sanford campus is a well-resourced free-standing emergency department taking care of approximately 20,000 patients per year. Firmly established admission and transfer policy makes disposition of patients similar to a traditional ED. All providers rotate through both sites on all shifts.

MaineHealthhas a strong connection with the University of New England and Tufts University with third year medical students participating in rotations in multiple specialties including emergency medicine. In addition, Biddeford and Sanford serve as community sites for our outstanding Emergency Medicine Residency program, based out of our sister hospital in Portland.
