• URGENT POSITION

Hourly Range : $36.50 / hour - $51.38 / hour

Salary Range : $75,920 - $106,78.40

The primary responsibility of the RN x20 Charge Nurse is a professional nurse

who demonstrates strong leadership skills, clinical expertise and compassion

for patients and teammates. This nurse provides care for patients and has unit

operation oversight throughout the assigned shift. Other key aspects of this

position are role model professional nursing behaviors, clinical competencies

and critical thinking. The charge nurse will mentor, precept and nurture new

nurses with the goal of successful transition from novice to expert.

clinical / staff RN, occasionally responsible for a small patient assignment of

1-3 patients.x20

such as overseeing LPN, RN and LNA practice and delegating care as appropriate.

employee breaks, creates the nursing assignment and makes adjustments based on

changing acuity and / or discharges / admissions.

as appropriate throughout the shift - assists with patient care, monitors for

lab / diagnostic test results, follows up on referrals, consults with different

departments as needed (pharmacy, lab, radiology).

nurse manager with concerns regarding employee performance and handles in the

moment conflicts as needed.

timely / accurate documentation.

nursing team members and management within the hospital to coordinate day to

day activities of the unit (discharges, admissions, transfers).x20

supervisor / main resource on off shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) keeping all

units / providers aware of bed availability, communicating with administrator on

call as needed.

other area hospitals regarding bed availability to facilitate patient transfers

to and from VRH.
