Founded in 1921, Straub Benioff Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology / diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region's only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawai'i, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement. Straub's Kailua clinic brings new services and larger facilities to the Windward community while continuing to provide high quality personalized care. Straub's family health center now offers patients with computer-linked access to specialists at Straub Hospital, digital X-ray services available on site, and lab and physical therapy. Our physicians and staff provide a full range of adult medical care, pediatric care and women's health services, including employment and school physicals, women's health, family planning, ophthalmologic exams, glasses and contact lenses, minor skin surgery and ambulatory care. As a Patient Service Representative, you will help to ensure that Straub Kailua patients and their families receive warm, friendly and considerate assistance at our hospitals and clinics. You will act as a liaison between patients and the professional staff by facilitating clerical and reception responsibilities and assisting in a variety of administrative tasks. These include interviewing, registering, admitting, updating and creating patients' medical records; performing accurate and timely processing of all professional / technical fees generated by department providers; and performing cash handling and collection. We are looking for someone sensitive and helpful, with excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to work effectively under minimal supervision, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.
