Join a dedicated healthcare team as a skilled Radiologic Technologist specializing in CT and X-ray imaging during night shifts. This role involves operating radiology equipment under physician supervision to provide accurate diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Essential Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity using two forms of identification and confirm physician orders before procedures.
- Participate in mandatory meetings, in-services, and continuing education to maintain competency.
- Utilize resources efficiently and report any issues to support problem-solving efforts.
- Engage actively in process improvement initiatives both within the department and across the organization.
- Collaborate positively with team members, maintaining a professional and supportive environment.
- Communicate exam requirements, risks, and benefits clearly to patients to alleviate anxiety and obtain informed consent.
- Apply radiation protection techniques following the ALARA principle to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self.
- Adhere to privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Maintain professional relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and external agencies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in Radiologic Technology, or at least one year of experience as an Imaging Associate.
Licenses and Certifications
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography. New graduates must obtain registration within 90 days of hire.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross, obtained within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.Preferred Qualifications
Licensure by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts (LRT) is preferred but not required.

Strong understanding of human anatomy and radiological positioning protocols.Commitment to patient safety and adherence to regulatory continuing education requirements.Ability to verify physician orders and safely administer imaging contrast agents.Physical Requirements
