Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, ARRT and BLS certification, and strong skills in both CT and X-ray for a dynamic role covering pediatric through geriatric patient populations.
Responsibilities
Freestanding emergency department setting with coordinated outpatient, primary care, and ED servicesPerforms basic CT scans, stroke and cardiac imaging, and X-ray studies across extremities, abdomen / GI, spine / pelvis, head, chest / thorax, and musculoskeletalSpecial procedures include brain perfusion, coronary CTA, CT arthrography, myelography, transplant studies, and vascular CTAEquipment includes GE CT, PACS system, and Shimatzu-Xray (preferred)EPIC charting system is usedShift is day (5x8 hours), typically 8 : 00 to 15 : 30Call required with a 30-minute response timePatient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatricsFloating between facilities within the state may be requiredResponsibilities include independently performing CT and X-ray exams, including advanced emergency and cardiac imaging proceduresStrong customer service and effective collaboration with ED staff requiredProfessional scrubs without logos must be wornModules must be completed prior to and during the assignment annuallyFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyFormer permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and may not be within 50 miles of the facilityMinimal to no requested time off (RTO) is allowed after submissionReliable transportation is necessary, and travel pairs must have separate vehiclesCompliance items, labs, and onboarding must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptanceFloating to other facilities within the state is expectedRequirements
Minimum of 2 years CT and radiology experienceCurrent ARRT, ARRT RT(R) (CT), and BLS certifications requiredActive WA license or compact license required if applicableExperience with GE CT, PACS, and Epic EMR requiredAbility to perform and interpret CT scans of the abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal systemProficiency with starting peripheral IVs and administration of contrast mediaExperience in adult outpatient and emergency department settings requiredFluoroscopy, enema studies, and surgery / C-arm experience preferredMust provide 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 yearsBenefits
