We are seeking a dedicated professional to perform radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of a Radiologist. This role includes coordinating daily activities, performing examinations, and handling associated clerical duties.
Essential Functions
- Perform and assist with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
- Document patient history pertaining to specific procedures.
- Confirm patient identification through verbal confirmation and proof of identity.
- Prepare and administer contrast media as required.
- Consult with radiologists and other physicians as necessary.
- Select and operate equipment based on the demands of individual procedures.
- Demonstrate correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
- Maintain appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
Skills and Requirements
Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers.Handle equipment and monitoring supplies.Good oral and written communication skills to interact with patients and hospital staff.Frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat, or kneel in operating radiographic equipment.Use hands for power gripping, speed work, and precision during manipulation of radiographic equipment and in the case of injured and diseased patients.Vision and hearing for distances of up to 10 feet are necessary.Exposure to various physical conditions such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and being near moving equipment.Adapt to changes in temperature and humidity.
