Job Title : Program Monitor / Auditor (Training Officer)
Location : Nashville, TN (Hybrid)
Schedule : Monday-Friday | 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM CST
Duration : 1 Year Contract (04 / 21 / 2025 - 04 / 20 / 2026)
Rate : $33 / hour (Expenses Allowed)
Job Summary :
We're on the lookout for a sharp, organized, and driven Training Officer to design, coordinate, and implement comprehensive training programs for a state agency focused on natural resource management. This role calls for someone who can juggle multiple training needs across different departments, work collaboratively with internal and external subject matter experts, and take the lead in building top-tier employee development programs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver and facilitate training sessions for internal staff using a variety of instructional methods
- Develop or revise training materials that align with learning objectives and delivery methods
- Apply adult learning principles to create engaging, impactful training experiences
- Conduct training needs analyses and collaborate with stakeholders to address skill gaps
- Create tools (e.g., surveys, assessments) to evaluate course effectiveness and learner progress
- Organize and coordinate events such as workshops, seminars, and symposiums
- Manage scheduling, site booking, materials, and logistics for all training events
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and policy clarification to staff
- Support team development and drive a culture of continuous learning
- Maintain records, respond to inquiries, and complete administrative tasks professionally
- Influence buy-in for new policies and training initiatives across departments
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or universityMinimum 2 years of experience in one or more of the following : teaching, instructional design, workforce development, or trainingOR a combination of equivalent education and experience (e.g., graduate coursework or teaching / training experience can substitute)OR one year of experience in workforce training within a state agencyAdditional Skills & Attributes :
Strong communication and presentation abilitiesExperience developing training for adult learnersAbility to coordinate and manage events / training logisticsTeam-oriented, detail-focused, and proactive mindsetWork Environment :
Hybrid schedule based in Nashville, TN - a mix of remote work and on-site responsibilities at the main office.
