Associate, Patient Accounts III

Pay Rate : $22.93 per hour.

Responsible for accurate and timely follow up on all primary and secondary insurance balances to ensure payments are received in accordance to the Payer policy and / or Hospital contracts.

Education / Training : High School diploma, required and some college and / or Associates Degree preferred. Able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Experience : Minimum two years recent hospital or physician billing with experience in all major payers. Must have experience with electronic claims submission and be well organized. Knowledge of UB04, CPT and ICD-10 required as well as specific knowledge in one of these areas of billing CMS, Medicaid, BC and / or Commercial. Must have HISS system knowledge, Meditech and nThrive preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, with a required skill of writing appeal letters in Microsoft Word.

Licensure, Registration or Certification : Medical Billing or Patient Financial Services Certification. Certification of Billing, PFS or coding through credited bodies such as HFMA, AHIMA, HBI, etc within 3 months of hiring.
