Electronics Buyer

Are you experienced in purchasing electronic components and ready for your next challenge? Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a trusted electronics manufacturing company in Anoka, MN to find a qualified Electronics Buyer. This is a direct hire opportunity with a company that values precision, quality, and teamwork.

Job Summary

The Electronics Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing electronic components, products, and equipment to support production needs. This role ensures the organization has the right parts, at the right time, at the best possible cost—without compromising on quality.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
Manage inventory levels and forecast needs based on production and market demand.
Ensure components meet technical and quality standards.
Process purchase orders, track shipments, and resolve any delivery or quality issues.
Conduct market research to monitor trends, pricing shifts, and supply chain disruptions.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and import / export laws.
Support New Product Introductions (NPI) by sourcing new components.
Maintain a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Experience

2–5 years of purchasing or supply chain experience, preferably in electronics or manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of electronic components (PCBs, semiconductors, connectors, etc.).

Experience working with ERP systems and procurement tools.

Excellent Excel skills for data tracking and analysis.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings / specs.

Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Understanding of import / export regulations.

Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Due to the nature of work at this facility, applicants must be a "U.S. Person" (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident).

Base Pay Range

$60,000.00 / yr - $68,000.00 / yr
