Warehouse Associate

Location : Parlin, New Jersey

Type : Contract-to-Hire

Compensation : $18 per hour

Contractor Work Model : 100% onsite work is required

Hours : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM

This job opening is with a small warehouse that distributes industrial rubber flooring material in bulk quantities and ships all over North America.

Responsibilities :

• Selects proper materials and prepares it for processing based on customer order
• Prepares material to meet customer specifications
• Ensures accurate measurements before all cuts
• Assembles and tightens clasps, fittings, roller-bearing mechanisms and other mechanical components & accessories if needed
• Uses power tools, hand tools such as hammers, tape measures, drills, screw drivers, etc. as needed
• RF scanning product and customer order
• Prepares material for shipment and double checks order accuracy before completing job
• Pulls material from existing inventory, maintain clean and organized work station
• Operates palletizer (shrink wrap) and wraps completed pallets
• Accurately follows instructions, including detail Amazon instructions for some repeat business orders
• Uses various shipping software to create shipping labels such as FedEx Ship Manager, UPS Worldwide, etc.
• Loads tucks with customer orders : UPS, FedEx, etc. using pallet jacks, manually carrying materials and sit-down forklifts
• Unloads materials from trucks when needed
• Stages then stows incoming material to appropriate locations in warehouse, RF scanning
• Assures received items match order before breaking down
• Maintains cleanliness throughout warehouse at all times
• Operates machinery to cut customer order down to correct size (training provided)
• Basic sit-down forklift operation is required and training is provided
