Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an adult outpatient setting with at least 1 year of outpatient experience and a GA OT license.
Responsibilities
Adult and geriatric patient population in an outpatient rehabilitation facilityTypical diagnoses include stroke, orthopedic (shoulder, hands, upper extremity), MS, TBI, and Guillain-Barré1 : 1 patient ratio for individualized careDay shifts, Monday through Friday, 9 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PMPossible floating within the facility, though rareEpic EMR usage required with additional systems SBAR, Outlook Email, and Secure ChatNo weekend or call requirementsFirst-time travelers are accepted for this positionMust be fully compliance cleared before starting; bi-weekly orientation schedules may result in delayed start if not compliantTravelers may be reviewed by a clinical team for fit prior to manager reviewReturn travelers / perm / PRN must be away from all Piedmont facilities for 1 full year before returning as a travelerIf unable to return to one facility, a traveler must complete a successful assignment outside the system before rebooking elsewhereNo travel pairs will be assigned the same shift on the same unitNo blocked scheduling permittedMaximum 7 days of time-off allowed, with none permitted in the first week of the assignmentTravelers are expected to work holidays based on their assignment duration following specific holiday rulesDress code is black scrubs or business casual attire acceptedLocals are accepted at the same rateRequirements
Current GA Occupational Therapist license required if applicableCurrent BLS certification requiredMinimum 1 year of outpatient OT experienceExperience with evaluation, discharge planning, reassessment, patient / family education, adaptive equipment, and pre-discharge planningPhysical ability for lifting and transfer of patientsBenefits
