Truck-to-Truck Technician

Position Overview

The Truck-to-Truck Technician supports efficient, on-site logistics operations with a strong emphasis on cross-dockingmoving materials rapidly between inbound and outbound docks to minimize storage time and improve delivery speed. This hands-on role is responsible for safe equipment movement, accurate staging, and adherence to all facility and regulatory safety standards. The position plays a critical part in maintaining smooth, timely, and cost-effective yard operations.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Pay : $18.00 to $20.00 an hour - Overtime as needed according to the business

Hours : 6 : 00 - 3 : 30 PM

• Safely operate yard vehicles to transfer bins, vans, trailers, and tanker trucks throughout the facility.
• Support cross-docking by quickly positioning inbound and outbound equipment at designated docks to minimize storage time and accelerate turnaround.
• Ensure wheel chocks and jack stands are properly placed and operational prior to any movement.
• Review MSDS and manifests when handling new or unfamiliar hazardous materials.
• Respond to and clean up spills following established safety procedures.
• Perform routine vehicle inspectionsincluding brakes, fuel, fluids, lights, and tire pressureto ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Accurately placard and stage equipment in accordance with permitted storage and compliance requirements.
• Maneuver vehicles safely in tight, high-traffic yard areas while adhering to speed limits and site driving rules.
