Title : Tax Manager – Credit Funds

Location : New York, NY

Position Overview :

JCW is partnered with a leading hedge fund seeking a tax professional to join its in-house tax team, with a focus on credit fund tax compliance and planning. This is a high-visibility role that will work closely with senior leadership across finance, legal, and operations. The ideal candidate has a strong partnership tax foundation and at least 3 years of experience working specifically with credit fund clients.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee federal, state, and local tax compliance for credit-focused funds and related entities
• Review partnership tax returns prepared by external service providers
• Support quarterly and annual tax estimates, allocations, and tax reporting for investors
• Assist with tax planning and structuring initiatives related to new fund launches, investment vehicles, and credit strategies
• Liaise with internal teams and external advisors on technical tax issues and operational impacts
• Monitor changes in tax law impacting credit strategies and assess implications for the firm
• Collaborate on process improvements and automation across the tax function
