Medical Coder

A company is looking for a Medical Coder to review EMS claims and ensure proper coding for processing.

Key Responsibilities

Review claims and assign appropriate levels of service and carriers

Ensure all signatures are in order and the claim is medically necessary

Correct discrepancies and handle a large volume of claims while meeting deadlines

Required Qualifications

Experience as a Paramedic, EMT, RN, LPN, or in coding emergency medical claims preferred

Knowledge and experience in medical billing required

Strong computer skills, including basic understanding of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel

Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm

Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively
