Description :

The position requires experience working in pediatrics.

Candidates must have a minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience.

Previous travel nursing experience is required.

Certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) are mandatory.

Nurses will care for patients with diagnoses such as cardiac observation and post-surgical observation.

Skills required include MS / Tele, remote monitoring, and starting IVs.

Preferred skills include experience with cardiac telemetry, emergency room holding, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.

The nurse will manage patient ratios of 1 : 5.

Patient age groups include adolescents, infants, adults, and pediatrics.

The unit has a daily census of approximately 5 patients.

Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services.

Additional responsibilities may include the administration of medications and monitoring of patients' vital signs.

The position may involve working weekends, with coverage required.
