Key Responsibilities :
Maintain a clean, sterile environment and provide optimal patient care using aseptic techniques.Assist in the preparation of materials, supplies, and equipment for various surgical procedures.Set up the operating room for each case by managing equipment and instruments effectively.Assist Surgeons as a Second Assistant when required.Transport patients and manage equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient operating room environment.Assess and respond to patient needs relative to age-specific requirements.Qualifications :
Completion of an accredited program in Surgical Technology.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months.No prior experience necessary.Knowledge of aseptic techniques and operating room equipment.Excellent interpersonal skills and basic computer proficiency.Physical Requirements :
Able to lift up to 50 lbs, push / pull with 30 lbs of force, and perform sliding transfers of 150 lbs.Stand, sit, walk, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.Required to wear protective equipment and must have functional sight and hearing.This position will require you to be available for call, including some overnight and weekend shifts.
