1. Unit Name : Phippen 6 / 7.

2. Brief Unit Description : Phippen 6 / 7 is a 32 Bed Ortho / Neuro Med / Surg Unit. This is a private unit admitting all other medical overflows.

3. Census : 32 Total Beds. 16 beds in Phippen 6 & 16 beds in Phippen 7.

4. Floating Required : Travelers are required to float to applicable units when requested.

5. Rotating Shifts Required : Day Rotators may be rotated between (7a-7p, 11a-11p or 7p-7a) shifts when needed. Night positions do not rotate. Rotation frequency : low.

6. Years of Experience Required : Minimum 2 years experience.

7. Skill Sets Required : Med / Surg RN with neuro assessment skills and telemetry competency; ability to interpret Tele Strips.

8. Clinician to Patient Ratio : Day and Eve shifts are 1 : 4, may go up to 5. Night shift is 1 : 5 or 6.

9. Patient Population : Scheduled elective Orthopedic and Neuro / Surg patients, Fractures, Neuro patients and all other medical patients overflow.

10. Bed Count : 32 beds.

11. EMR (Charting System) : EPIC.

12. Certifications Required : Current Massachusetts RN License. BLS. (ACLS preferred).
