Responsibilities :
Perform blood glucose monitoring, inhalation treatments, and other physical prescribed medical treatments / diagnostic testmaintains medication and resident's records, responsible for electronic input of resident's data in EHR systemTransmit requests including scans and / or faxes medication refill requests per policy to ensure proper medication administration to assigned residentsCommunicates and coordinates care with residents and their families Documents and leads in the documentation of resident care. Inspects environment, identified environmental problems and initiates requests for correction of environmental problemsIdentified reports and documents incidents and accidents; participates in investigation of incidents and accidents as necessary. Completes records and reports as needed. Identifies clinical and operational problems, and works with team to identify and implement solutionsReviews, transcribes and implements physician orders. Communicates with resident's physicians as directedImplements, practices and assures staff adheres to infection control measures. Lead CNAs (Certified Nursing Assistant). Assisting with daily needs such as bathing and dressing. Participates in the orientation of new employees.Participates in continuing education programs to maintain competency and I'm rove knowledge and skillsRepresents the community and nursing services in professional activities as assigned. Support and participate community and departmental quality assurance programs. Ensures that unit practices are consistent with regulatory requirementsMaintains positive working relationships between nursing staff and other departmentsModels our core values of respect, passion, and professionalism, and is willing to assist, or use personal authority, in holding all others accountable for doing the samePerform all other duties as assignedQualifications :
Current LPN licensure in the state of VirginiaCurrent CPR certificationPhysical Requirements :
Must be able to climb or descent 3-flights of stairsMust be able to stand or walk for an extended period of time and push a wheeled medication care through assigned unitBenefits :
