Required Skills & Qualifications : High School diploma or equivalent required and an associate's degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant (PTA) program. Successful challenge of the PT Assistant examination may be substituted for completion of a PTA program. One year of experience or comparable internship required. PTA valid license issued by the Physical Therapy Board of California required. CPR certification required. The Physical Therapy Assistant assists with the treatment of patients and development / modification of treatment plans in accordance with patient status and within the scope of treatment plans established by the physical therapist. They are responsible for the achievement of the patient, while they provide treatment according to the physical therapist's treatment plan.
