Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma Emergency Department position requiring TNCC certification and a NM or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
Work in a Level I Trauma Emergency Department within a teaching and acute care hospitalPatient ratio is 1 : 5The Emergency Department admits 60%-80% of patients with increased admit holds and ED Holding areasShifts are nights (3x12 hours), with options for 36 or 48 hour weeksWeekend shifts are required and scheduled as needed, with weekends defined as Friday through Sunday nights and Saturday / Sunday daysFloating to Adult PCUs is expected; floating to Peds ED is optional; may float to ED Holding or Trauma according to department needsUses Cerner for chartingNo on-call requirementBlack scrubs requiredNo local candidates within a 75-mile radius are acceptedPrimary responsibilities include emergency nursing care, IV medication administration, and documenting / communicating clinical findingsFirst-time travelers are accepted but travel experience is strongly preferred unless candidate has 2+ years of Level I Trauma experienceThis is a teaching hospital setting with multidisciplinary team supportRTO requests greater than 7 days require approvalFree parking is available on siteRequirements
