Qualifications Manage life cycle of Projects including set-up, revenue recognition, project milestone invoicing, and financial reporting, up to and including project close-out. Duties / Responsibilities :
- Identify revenue recognition method based on understanding of contracts awarded
- Set-up Projects in ERP and expense reporting application upon awarding of Contract or Customer PO
- Manage Projects, including performing Billings and Revenue / COS process
- Reconcile and report Project Balance Sheet and Income Statement monthly
- Close Projects after confirming all costs and billings have been completed
- Coordinate Project Reporting with Project Controls
- Prepare customer invoices, verifying accuracy and compliance with customer purchase orders
- Bi-monthly internal distribution of customer aging reports
- Insure aging reports are sent to customers as requested; assist with accounts receivable collections as needed
- Reconcile customer deposit accounts, accounts receivable accounts, and allowance accounts monthly
- Assist in the processing of Project PO-based Payables, as needed
- Close each month in a timely manner Skills / Abilities : Required :
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong analytical and accounting skills
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Suite : Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and FRx or similar program
- Work with minimal up-front guidance, take ownership of work product, and successfully communicate and interface with all levels of Company Preferred :
- Understanding of J-GAAP and J-SOX
- Thorough SAP experience
- Ability to assist with testing and receive final approval for system reports required for management, financial reporting and general ledger reconciliations Education and Experience :
- Bachelors of Science in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited university
- Minimum ten years progressively responsible experience in accounting, including Project Accounting Travel Requirements :
- Up to 10% with multiple successive overnight stays
- Authorized and Eligible for Domestic and International Travel Physical Requirements :
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
