Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level III Neonatal ICU and Transport position with at least 3 years of NICU and transport experience and multi-state RN licensure.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with 18 beds and a dedicated neonatal operating roomPrimarily assigned to NICU duties with approximately four neonatal transports per month, mostly airCare for critically ill or premature newborns, 22 weeks gestation and greater12-hour day / night rotating shifts with every 3rd weekend and holiday requiredNo on-call or call-back responsibilitiesParticipate in air and ground neonatal transports to and from surrounding facilitiesPerform bedside procedures such as IV starts, medication calculations, and administrationProvide neonatal resuscitation and support to families in end-of-life care situationsCollaborate with an interdisciplinary care teamScrub requirement : navy blue bottoms with white or black topsMust begin medical compliance process within 48 hours of offer acceptanceOrientation hours are not guaranteed during weeks when the unit is closedTeam operates in a highly specialized, family-centered environment\n \n Requirements\n
Active, permanent RN licenses in WI, IA, and MN (no temporary licenses accepted)Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications requiredAHA PALS, STABLE, and CNPT certifications preferredAssociates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferredMinimum of 5 years RN experience and at least 3 years NICU experience requiredPrevious neonatal transport experience requiredMust possess strong assessment and critical thinking skills\n Benefits\n
