Part- Time Mentor and Companion Needed in Englewood

Community Resource Network of Florida   is looking for a caregiver  who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I / DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life.

Individual is a young adult seeking companion for community outings like g oing out to the movies, become more social, explore the town for new recreational activities.

This is an independent contract position and pays $16.00 an hour.

Schedule :

• Tuesday,  Thursday, Saturday and Sunday  You will be a good fit for this position if you : Have a positive outlook and contagious energy  Demonstrate patience and compassion Responsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role : Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities Meal / snack preparation  Ensuring individuals safety and maintaining a safe living environment  Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to the park Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization  Complete daily progress notes  Qualifications and Skills Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
