Overview

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic and energetic Pediatric Surgeon to join our team at AdventHealth for Children / Walt Disney Pavilion based in Orlando. This is a wonderful opportunity to continue to build on our strong practice with our network of hospitals in Central Florida. Responsibilities of the new physician will include weekday and weekend call coverage in equal rotation with our four other surgeons in the group, outpatient clinic practice, and physician relationship building.

Responsibilities

The Pediatric Surgeon will be responsible for weekday and weekend call coverage in equal rotation with the group’s four surgeons, conduct outpatient clinic practice, and build patient relationships. The surgeon will also provide paid call coverage in Tampa as part of the partnership with AdventHealth Tampa.

Qualifications

• Fellowship training in Pediatric Surgery
• Board certification / Board eligibility in Pediatric Surgery through the American Board of Surgery
• Team player mentality

Hospital Description

Our Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is a full-service tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, more than 30 pediatric ICU beds with a dedicated pediatric CICU, a 102-bed NICU, a 17-bed pediatric emergency department, and a statewide pediatric network and transport system. We started our comprehensive pediatric open heart program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes. We offer a level IV epilepsy program, the region’s only BMT and solid organ transplants, and an increased Orlando area NICU beds to 150 total in 2017.
