About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join its Legal and Compliance Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing corporate legal support with a primary focus on contract management. This includes the drafting, negotiation, and management of a wide range of domestic and international commercial agreements, such as NDAs, Master Services Agreements, licensing agreements, technology contracts, and office leases. The role requires close collaboration with sourcing, legal, and business stakeholders to ensure that all contracts meet the firm's legal standards, risk tolerance, and strategic objectives. The Associate General Counsel will also be involved in leading contract negotiations, managing redlining processes, and translating legal concepts into business-oriented guidance.
Applicants for the Associate General Counsel position at the company should have a JD and active admission to a state bar, with approximately 4-8 years of relevant legal experience, particularly in commercial contract negotiation. Familiarity with legal issues related to vendor contracting, licensing, and procurement is essential, and experience in financial services, asset management, or other regulated industries is preferred. The role demands strong drafting, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work across departments to streamline contract workflows and maintain audit readiness. The ideal candidate will also have experience with ERP and contract lifecycle systems.
