Smith Engineering PLLC and BEP Analytics LLC are consulting engineering and Building Automation System companies focused on energy reduction, infrastructure upgrade / improvements, and operations optimization of critical facilities. As we expand, we’re looking for a Building Automation Account Executive to join our team and play a key role in developing new business opportunities and nurturing client relationships in the New York and Tri-State area.
Position Overview :
As a Building Automation Account Executive, you’ll be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and promoting our automation solutions. You will work closely with the leadership team within Smith Engineering and BEP Analytics to shape our sales strategy, while having the autonomy to manage your accounts and drive revenue growth.
Location : Remote (Tri-State Area- Philadelphia, New York, North Jersey, Central Jersey)
This role reports to BEP’s Operations Manager, and is responsible for the following :
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the southeast PA, NY city and Central Jersey region
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their automation needs
- Present and promote control systems and automation solutions to prospective customers
- Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and contracts tailored to client requirements
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless project handoff and execution
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and opportunities
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals
- Representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in automation, controls, or industrial technologyMinimum of 5 years of experience in a business-to-business sales or account management role in the Building Technology Solutions field (Building Management / Building Automation / Fire and Life Safety / Building Access and Security)Strong understanding of control systems, PLCs, and industrial automation solutionsProven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets / metricsWillingness to travel within the New York, North and Central New Jersey area, and Philadelphia areaBachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field is preferredExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsAbility to influence at varying levels across the organizationLocal engagement in industry-specific organizationsSelf-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectivelyBenefits
