Caterpillars Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines but also power over 5000 other applications including Marine Petroleum Industrial Applications Electric Generators and Locomotives. Job Summary :

Caterpillar in Seguin Texas is seeking a dynamic Production Technician to join our C9 long block engine assembly team! As a Production Technician youll be at the forefront of innovation working hands-on to assemble test and troubleshoot our cutting-edge equipment. What you will do :

• Align and secure engine components according to work instructions
• Install gaskets seals bearings hoses covers and visual components
• Ensure parts and materials used in assembly are defect-free
• Assist in problem-solving and improvement initiatives across departments
• Verify alignment of engine components using schematics and part prints
• Inspect parts and materials for quality defects
• Conduct audits and quality inspections to address known defects
• Perform torque audits leak tests and visual inspections on engines
• Submit and support resolution of C.P.S. Continuous Improvement cards
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and area-specific instructions
• Provide process information to supervisors and managers
• Occasionally participate in training and development
• Perform any other assigned duties
