Location :  Trenton, MI

Type :  Full-Time, Onsite

Pay Range :  $20 – $30 / hour

Shift :

Monday–Thursday : 6 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM

Friday : 6 : 00 AM – 3 : 00 PM

Occasional Saturdays : 6 : 00 AM – 12 : 00 PM

About the Opportunity

An established heavy industrial manufacturer in Trenton, Michigan is seeking a  Maintenance Technician  to join its team. This is a hands-on maintenance role suited for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy problem-solving, repairing equipment, and working in a gritty industrial setting.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in mechanical systems, hydraulics, or fabrication—but the company values reliability, work ethic, and willingness to learn above all else. Welding and industry experience are preferred, but not required. Candidates with transferable mechanical skills from other trades or environments are encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and forging equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems
  • Fabricate or assist with basic welding when needed
  • Support rigging, setup, and general equipment operations
  • Maintain tools, parts, and safety standards across the facility
  • Work independently and as part of a small maintenance crew

What You Bring

  • Mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting
  • Experience with hydraulics, machine repair, or fabrication (preferred)
  • Welding experience is strongly preferred but not required
  • Comfort working around heavy industrial equipment
  • Reliability, teamwork, and a steady work ethic

  • Temperatures vary by season : can be  very hot in summer and cold in winter
  • Facility has  large 16' x 16' bay doors  that remain open for ventilation and access
  • Work areas are  dirty and noisy , with visible dust, grease, and heavy equipment in motion
  • The pace is  steady, not frantic , and teamwork is valued over speed
  • Safety and consistent effort are key priorities every day
