Bus Driver - Atmore

Job Summary

Reports To : Transportation Supervisor

Job Goal : To safely operate school system vehicles and to transport students, employees and designated persons for the effective operation of school system programs and activities

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Alabama CDL and school bus driver's license required
• Must meet all local, state, and federal licensing requirements and regulations required to operate a school bus and automobile
• Must pass and is subject to drug tests as required by federal and state law and the Board's policies regarding drug testing, operating system-owned vehicles, transporting students and all applicable policies
• Must have an acceptable motor vehicle record
• Must meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama statutes and state Board of Education regulations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Performance Responsibilities :

Physical Requirements : Medium Work : Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and / or up to 10 pounds of force as needed to move objects.

Evaluation : Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.
