About The Position

Job Title : Special Procedures Tech

License : ARRT / RTR, RCIS

Certifications : ACLS

Must-Have :

Critical Care / Angiography (IR) experience

Experience in stroke and trauma care

Description : Unit Profile :

This unit specializes in Angiography / Interventional Radiology.

There are 3 Angiography Labs which include 2 dedicated IR labs and 1 hybrid OR.

The patient-to-staff ratio is 1 : 1.

Ideal staffing includes 3-4 team members : 2 Techs and 2 RNs.

Types of equipment used include IVUS, Shockwave, Angio Jet, and Jet Stream.

The documentation system utilized is EPIC Cupid.

Scheduling requires 4 ten-hour shifts with call.

ICU / ER experience is necessary for success in the unit.

Procedures performed include :

Permcath placement

Port placement

Thrombectomy

Atherectomy

TVAR

TIPS

EVAR

PE

Stroke management

Trauma care

Dress Code :

Royal blue and black for RNs

Navy blue and black for Techs
