Position Summary :

Penske Vehicle Services is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Industrial Engineer to join our team at our automotive vehicle production facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving production efficiency while reducing cost and waste throughout two facilities located in SE Michigan. You will play a key role in optimizing production systems and processes, allocating resources efficiently, implementing lean manufacturing techniques, and supporting new vehicle program launches.

This position requires close collaboration with the production and quality operations team and business development.

Key Responsibilities :

• Analyze and improve production processes to enhance productivity and quality
• Measure and increasing plant product flow capacity
• Design and optimize workstation layouts, tooling, and material flow to support Just-In-Time (JIT) and lean manufacturing
• Support launch and integration of new products, equipment, and processes
• Work with cross-functional teams (production, quality, and maintenance) to resolve production issues and support continuous improvement
• Drive cost-reduction projects, focusing on labor optimization and process automation
• Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Develop standard work procedures, visual work instructions, and process documentation
