Schedule / Hours :
This position involves full-time evening shifts, with options for 8 or 10-hour shifts. The schedule includes Monday to Friday with on-call requirements; primarily overnight and some weekend on-call slots.
Major Responsibilities :
You will play an essential role in patient care by :
Ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient surgical area; utilizing aseptic techniques and preparing surgical materials and equipmentAssisting during various surgical procedures while maintaining knowledge of a range of operationsSetting up and breaking down operation rooms, handling equipment, and ensuring proper functionalityServicing as a Second Assistant when necessaryReporting any equipment or supply issues to the appropriate staffTransporting patients and supplies, maintaining specialty carts, and ensuring sterility and availabilityPositioning and transferring patients safely and effectivelyDemonstrating knowledge of patient-specific care requirements throughout their lifespanLicensure and Certification :
Requirements include :
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA) within six months of hiring if applicableEducation and Experience :
To qualify, you need :
Completion of an accredited or approved Surgical Technology programNo prior experience requiredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Successful candidates will possess :
Understanding of aseptic techniques and familiarity with surgical equipmentStrong customer service and interpersonal skillsBasic computer skillsCommitment to maintain annual educational requirements for hospital certificationsPhysical Requirements :
