Brake Press Operator

Description

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for the set up and operation of Press Brakes

based on blueprints to fabricate parts that meet customer specifications.

In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be :

• Study blueprints sketches drawings manuals specifications or sample parts to determine setup requirements of Press Brake

Perform set-up of Press Brake including : positioning machine in relation to the appropriate axis as planned in programming and setting stops for all depths and angles

Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance operations

Adjust press brake set up as appropriate to correct any errors

Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers

Check the first piece dimensions angles and tolerances before proceeding with the remainder of the order

Collaborate with engineers production personnel quality or others to resolve problems.

Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 70lbs

Ability to do other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS :

Typical shop floor with possible exposure to dirt dust fumes heat cold noise vibration oil and water. May be exposed to any number of these elements.
